Attorney Bruce A. Bierhans
For more than 26 years, Attorney Bruce A. Bierhans has been winning cases and client confidence. Today, Bierhans and his staff at the Law Offices of Bruce Bierhans, provide clients with the highest quality of personalized legal services.
Bruce graduated from Suffolk Law School in 1982. While attending Law School at night, he worked as a senior aide in the Massachusetts Senate. Upon graduation, he began a trial practice in Canton, Massachusetts, and moved his practice to Boston in 1985. He remained in Boston until 1997, at which time he decided to return to the suburbs due to his desire to create a suburban firm that would give his business and litigation clients the same quality of legal service that they could obtain in the city, at a more reasonable cost.
The firm has grown steadily since that time. In the past twenty six years, Bruce has successfully tried cases in the areas of business law, criminal law, products liability, medical malpractice and general negligence. Many of his business clients have been with him for most of his twenty six years in practice. He prides himself on taking on challenges that other lawyers have turned down. He has fought, and continues to fight for “the little guy”, whether it be an individual or business. He has lectured nationally, to lawyers and physicians, on matters related to trial practice and has an AV rating from Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating available for both skill and legal ethics.
Bruce and his wife Nancy, who is the firm's office manager, satisfy their love of the ocean by residing in Wellfleet, Mass.
Attorney Sheldon C. Toplitt
Attorney Sheldon C. Toplitt is the Senior Associate in the firm. Sheldon graduated cum laude from Suffolk University Law School in 1989. Before attending law school, he served as editor of numerous American Bar Association publications, including Litigation Journal, Family Advocate, and The Compleat Lawyer. He has worked as a civil litigator for two Boston law firms. In 1994, he co founded Seman & Toplitt, a general practice firm in Andover, Mass. Two years later, he decided to move closer to home, opening a solo practice in Needham, Mass.
Besides practicing law, Sheldon has taught Media Law for nearly a decade at several area universities. Additionally, drawing on his early career as a journalist, he has written extensively about employment law issues for national business publications.
Sheldon practices in the areas of employment law, media law, cyberlaw, personal injury law, business litigation and probate law.
Sheldon , his wife Sandy, and their two sons reside in Needham, Mass.
Attorney Olivier E. Kozlowski
Attorney Olivier E. Kozlowski joined the firm in 2008. Olivier holds two degrees from Northeastern, a law degree in 1995 and a Bachelor’s degree cum laude in 1992. He is a former in-house counsel to a mortgage lender and spent three years focusing on medical malpractice defense with a Boston firm prior to opening his own firm in Mansfield, where he focused on real estate, business law and litigation.
Olivier served on the Mansfield Zoning Board of Appeals for eight years prior to being elected to the Mansfield Housing Authority Board of Commissioners. He is also active in the autism community and serves on the board of the Hopewell Autism Initiative, Inc.
Olivier’s practice areas include real estate, litigation, medical malpractice, business law and planning for children with special needs.
Olivier, his wife Laura and their two children live in Mansfield, Mass. In his free time, Olivier enjoys the outdoors and serves on the board of the Highpointers Club, a group of people who share the goal of climbing the highest peak in all 50 states.
